1. To make sure you have a svn clientYou could use TortoiseSVN, alternative is eclipse svn plug-in, but less efficiency, if you don't know how to setup the application, pls ask Huang ke for help.
2. Test your networkLocation URL: https://toyhouse-summer-projects.googlecode.com/svn/
Use your google account and google code password to log in.
3. Make directory for your own projectTwo steps:
Make your own project directory under the root directory, using lowercase letter and "-" to compose your name. Make 3 sub directory under your project directory, named "branches", "tags", "trunk" separately.
For example, your project name is "Test Project", the dicectory structure is:
--/trunk4. Check-in/out your project via svnUse your svn client to login, select the trunk sub directory, then check in/out your code/doc/other resources, the svn server will help you to manage their version relationships.
Write wiki for your documentationIt's suggested using wiki write your documentation during your project to record the idea and process, Just click the third tab in the navigation bar, and creat a new page for you.
Some tipsRead wiki help document at least once before writing, to avoid some stupid mistake. To let other know your project well, it's better to structuring your doc into levels. Use architecture diagram to visualize your data structure. You can use sequence diagrams to document processes, class diagrams to outline system objects. Some pictures for your user interfaces. Using google groups as communication channelIdeas, comments, or arguements you can just post to our google groups http://groups.google.com/group/toy-house?hl=en, also, pls remember to email your weekly summary and next week plan to firstname.lastname@example.org each monday.
