The TYPO3 Best Practices Team gathered for another Remote Day. This time Bernd Sengupta and Eike Starkmann joined the team members Oliver Klee and Daniel Siepmann. We focused on some long-standing issues with the Tea Example (tea) extension, as well as TYPO3 v13 compatibility.

In his talk at T3CON24, Janus Boye shared the challenges open source content management systems (CMS) face in the present and future- and how we can adapt.

The TYPO3 Association has officially launched the third community budget process of 2025. The call for community budget ideas for the third quarter of 2025 is open. Submit your idea before 21 May 2025. Decisions will be announced at the end of June.

The TYPO3 Community Budget Ideas initiative selected the project Integrate XHGui into DDEV Core for Q1/2025. After lots of work, this has been committed to DDEV core and was released in DDEV v1.24.4.

I'm happy to be back with another report on one of our recent initiatives. Over the past few weeks, we have focused on creating an interactive guide/tour for the TYPO3 backend. This idea was proposed in the Community Budget Ideas for Q1/2025, and the community selected it for implementation through voting.
