The project titled “VAARTA – enjoy new experience of chatting” is based on the concept of Multi-protocols Instant Messaging System. VAARTA IM is the smaller, faster, easier instant messenger with support for multiple protocols. Designed from the ground-up to be resource efficient while still providing a rich feature set, VAARTA includes support for AIM, Jabber, ICQ, IRC, MSN, Yahoo, Gadu-Gadu and more. Additionally, with the choice of hundreds of icons, sounds and other content, VAARTA IM gives you the ability to ultimate Instant Messaging experience as all instant messages are send in the form of HTML page rather than simple text so that you can add any ORKUT, FACEBOOK, etc scarps to your friend right from VAARTA.
We have choosen Jabber protocols [Jab] as base to work on. The base Jabber protocols were approved by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) under the name Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP) as RFCs 3920, 3921, 3922, and 3923, which defined the core XML streaming protocol including security and basic instant messaging functionalities.
Today messaging system needs a fast, real-time communication protocol to support real-time messaging capabilities, including instant messaging, conferences, alerts, news, polls, and file transfers. It should provide the reliability and availability expected by end users and the security necessary to protect privacy and information, and to meet regulatory requirements. Taking care of all above points, VAARTA is designed to meet all the needs of end- user.
