It uses xport, ldecod, and ffmpeg/mencoder. For now it will be a stand alone project, but in the future it would be great to combine it with aviDemux and VLC.
In the future, we would like to somehow add playback (from VLC) and encoding support (from mtsDemux) to aviDemux.
As for VLC, it would be awesome to get all the encoding support of aviDemux (interface too) integrated into the VLC package (to enhance VLC current encoding interface). [Less]

Joins and demuxes HDMV M2TS/MTS (MPEG-2 transport stream) or TS (transport stream) files to Elementary streams.
