Firemox is a full Java program which allows players to play various card games against an opponent over a network, such as a LAN and the Internet, or alone. The program is the judge: it implements and enforces the rules, so that the players do not need to resolve them themselves. The game currently
... [More] runs Magic: The Gathering but rules can be written for any classic card game (eg. Poker) or collectible card game (CCG). The main feature of this program is that it can parse the rules of a game which are defined in an (human readable) XML file. MP parses these rules files to determine turn structure, card types, colors, etc.. making it impossible for players to cheat. Also, if a player forgets to do something during the game, he/she will be reminded since all rules are managed by Firemox. [Less]

This project is just under way. I would appreciate any help anyone can give. I'm looking at a whole lot of interface building, C++, and (eventually) trying to compile it all!
I am a new programmer, so I would appreciate any help I can get. Other newbies can help, too--this will be a fairly simple
... [More] project!
I will start by making a glade interface and uploading it. Check back after I have and we'll talk code... [Less]
The goal of this project is to create an online version of the game Magic: The Gathering. The goal is to have a registration server, which allows people to create and play games, using a Java client.
Network will probably use Java RMI, but the thinking is not there yet.
This project is done on
... [More] free time and mostly because I enjoy the conception of this project. I try to use iterative developpement and some agile methods (in terms of conception, testing)
Nothing is available yet but I started some samples and any help is welcome.
I wanted to try google code, but I don't know yet if I will keep using it. All mails will still be redirected to my email adress. [Less]
