Tinyproxy

Compare

  Analyzed 22 days ago

Tinyproxy is a fast light-weight HTTP proxy for POSIX operating systems, released under the GNU GPL license. Designed from the ground up to be fast and yet small, it is an ideal solution for sites where a full featured HTTP proxy is required, but the system resources for a larger proxy are ... [More] unavailable. Tinyproxy is fully compatible with all existing web browsers, and has a number of useful features. [Less]

This project will work by hosting a server application on the desired web server and running a client on your own machine, the web browser will connect to the localhost with a port bound to the client application that will be used to identify what website the client will connect to. The client will ... [More] then connect to the server application on the web host, which will then decrypt/encrypt all data and transfer it back to the client. Some may argue that this is just like SSL but with SSL the key is easily obtainable to decrypt the information flowing through the network. This proxy will use secret keys that must be given to the client in some way and never travels over the network, so the key cannot be intercepted. Its best if you give the key in person. May have some warez use ;) Also allows anonymous browsing on the target site as all requests will have come from the localhost. This project is just a module to a larger upcoming project currently being designed. Shane McIntosh (Lead Coder) [Less]

safetunnel

This project is a open source private key encrypted HTTP tunnel that consists of 2 programs. The SafeTunnel server sits on the web server and the SafeTunnel client sits on the client. The user's web browser will connect to the client and the client will then connect to the SafeTunnel server located ... [More] on the webserver, the server will then connect to the WebServer and the two programs will then encrypt/decrypt data back and forth forwarding the data to the Browser/Web server as needed. The encryption key will be a private-key that should be distributed out-of-band. The web server should be setup to only accept connections from the localhost, this allows 100% safe and anonymous browsing to the page. As all HTTP logs will look like the connections are coming from itself which they are, NOTE the server may easily be modified to log connections & headers etc... [Less]

HttpProxy .NET

Compare

  No analysis available

HttpProxy.NET is an open source HttpProxy built on the .NET framework 2.0. It allows you to tunnel a website through any .NET web server. It it very much like the websites that let you tunnel your browsing. The advantage of having HttpProxy.NET is that most of the websites that let you tunnel are ... [More] already blocked by large corporations, therefore they are useless. So if you work in a large company and would like to browse the web freely use HttpProxy.NET. [Less]
