Update statistics for project

Hi Folks,

we have consolidated some information (mistyped author names) for past revisions of our repository. How can we inform ohloh about the changes? Is there any other solution apart from deleting and re-adding the enlistment?

Cheers & thanks

Hi leubbe,

When Ohloh updates a project report, it only looks at the latest changes since our last report.

If you manually modified the past history of your repository directly, then we will need to completely delete and re-import your project.

Which project is it?

One more note -- I wanted to point out that simply removing and re-adding the enlistment from the project page will not make any difference. When you remove an enlistment from a project, this does not delete it from our database, and if you then re-add the enlistment, the report comes back almost instantly. This is because there are many enlistments which are shared by multiple projects, and occasionally people remove enlistments by mistake, and we want to minimize thrashing on our system.

To remove it from our database completely and start over, we'll have to do some manual work behind the scenes.

Hi Robin,

thanks for your reply. The project is TortoiseSVN (#3180). One of our developers has changed his login name a while ago and we have changed all the author names of his old commits to the new name. The change only applies to a limited range of revisions, so maybe you could just re-scan that range if it would be of any help. This is not a critical issue for us. It would just correct the statistics.

Cheers & thanks
