git Enlistments do not seem to work if a username and password
are required.
It seems that git-ls-remote does not supply them to the server.
http://harpo.gam3.net/tasker.git/ is where the git repository is.

Can you be more specific? Exactly what problem are you having?
http://harpo.gam3.net/tasker.git/ does not appear to be protected by a password, and our system appears able to use both git-ls-remote and git-clone on this repository without any problems.
