Merging KudoRank

Continuing from https://www.ohloh.net/forums/10/topics/3747 ..

Ok, that initially helped, but now I've got a new problem. There are two okinsey's, the one from the now deleted easyxss project, and my current one in the easyXDM project.

The one from easyxss had a kudorank of 8 (before deletion) and I and would like to have that applied to me/easyXDM. easyXDM is the same project only renamed.

Could this be done?

Hi again,

Unfortunately, I'm fairly sure you're being hit by the part of our system that detects and removes kudos being given to oneself. You've added easyXDM to your stack. By doing so, everyone who's contributed to easyXDM gets a share of one kudo, proportional to the number of commits they've made that Ohloh tracks.

Before you were able to claim that contribution, our system didn't know that the person who'd stacked easyXDM was the same as the person working on it. So the full kudos from the stack were applied. Now that the system knows its you, it doesn't apply the kudo. The only way around this is to get someone else to add easyXDM to their stack (or give you a kudo directly).

But if this was the case, howcome it got a kudorank of 8? The docs says that only about 6% get a rank of 8, and surely, that contributor could not have gotten that from me alone...
