My project http://www.ohloh.net/p/amir/ uses bazzar for version control and is hosted on launchpad.
A few days ago I deleted trunck branch and created a new one. After that, It seems that ohloh can not fetch commit information from the repository.
Hi Golnaz,
Ohloh expects that repositories can be updated incrementally with simple pulls. If existing commits are deleted or replaced, Ohloh's updates will fail.
I've started a clean branch of the repository, which should clear up the problem.
Thanks,
Robin
The problem happened again about 17 days ago, but this time I didn't deleted any branch or make a new one, I just pushed some usual commits.
Hi Golnaz,
We got a very strange error in this case -- LaunchPad claimed that it was not a valid branch.
I rescheduled the job, and it appears to be running just fine now. I'll keep an eye on it.
Thanks,
Robin
Hi Robin,
Enlishment failure happened again about 6 days ago. Maybe a merge commit caused the problem this time...
Thanks for your attention. :)
Hi Golnaz,
Another clean branch remedied the problem. Clearly there are some problems in Ohloh's Bazaar adapter that need fixing...
Thanks,
Robin
A pushed a merge commit to the repository and failure happened again...
Golnaz:
We migrated the servers from Chicago to Boston a little over a week ago.
This gave us full control over fixing problems with the site.
As of a few minutes ago the project is fixed and it should be all set now :)
Thanks Robert;
But it happened again about two weeks ago.
I think the problem is caused by merge commits.
Golnaz,
You are probably correct. I am starting a re-fetch of the repository and will report back here once the processing is finished.
Thanks!
Golnaz,
Processing has completed OK and analysis is again up-to-date.
Thanks!
