Git commit count

We're using git as our scm and ohloh is successfully reading it in and doing all the analysis on it. We use git in a way where there is one person who acts as a gatekeeper and merges everything in from a set of trusted people.

I noticed that these merges get listed as a commit as well (because that is what they are essentially) but I was wondering if these get counted as an ohloh commit?

I apologize if this question has been raised previously, I did a quick search but couldn't find it.

Yes, as far as I know merge commits are count.

Doesn't that skew up the contributors statistics a bit? The Gatekeeper would have the sum of all the other contributors plus his own wouldn't he?

Hi. I am wondering whether including merge commits in the statistics could be a configurable option.
