Failed enlistments

p/mksh:
:pserver:anonymous:@ds9.midnightbsd.org:/home/cvs mports/shells/mksh (Failed 3 months ago.) ‣ needs retry, WFM here

p/mirports:
:pserver:peed:[email protected]:/peed/repos/new mirports (Failed 10 months ago.) ‣ weirdly enough, the other (probably bigger) one from the same box works. If it’s too big for you, I will agree to split it, tell me then.

p/mirbsd:
:pserver:peed:[email protected]:/peed/repos/new repository/src
:pserver:peed:[email protected]:/peed/repos/old altes
Same here (maybe size issue?), tell me if I need to split. (Failed 6 months ago.)

Thorsten,

Making progress on all three projects (mksh is the farthest along); it doesn't yet appear as if any of them will need to be split up though I haven't attempted to download any of them locally to judge the size of them. Will continue to monitor these three and hope to report back soon.

Thanks!

Thorsten,

I have good news and not-so-good news... (Which would you like first?)

OK, project mirports is now up-to-date. Looks to have been an authentication error which caused the problem.

Project mksh is now hung due to an enlistment that lives on a SourceForge CVS server. (They are all down for now...)

Project mirbsd continues to progress, albeit slowly with only 1 enlistment not yet complete.

Will keep you updated.

Thanks!

Thorsten,

More good news (we can use some). Project mirbsd has completed OK. Analysis page is now up-to-date.

Thanks!

Cool, looks good, thanks. (Except the Sourcefrog issue. What’s with them being down, again? Any idea? I dropped the enlistment for now, until they’re up again, it’s secondary anyway.)

As for speed… eurynome is a VM, and the repos are big (mirbsd+mirports are about 90k files, 885M, in the “new” repo and about 130k files, 1337M (no kidding), in the “old” repo – which doesn’t change any more, though, so being able to mark a repo as “closed” would help greatly here).

Thorsten,

SourceForge experienced an attack and took all CVS facilities off-line for evaluation. See:
http://sourceforge.net/blog/sourceforge-attack-full-report/ for all the details.

Also please note that except in extreme cases, we only pull a delta from any repository so that closed repos place only minimal load on our systems.

Thanks!

Ah okay, didn’t know that about Sourcefrog.

As for closed repos: with CVS, you still need to download the history of all >100k files and see that the last revision is still what you have, so it’s still quite some traffic, server load and time intensive.

I put back the SF repo to p/mksh but it still shows up as failed. Could you take a look at them if this is still failed tomorrow or so?

(Also, kick eurynome, the VM apparently crashed but is back now.)

Thorsten,

All enlistments on p/mksh were functional but three had not completed. Adjusted the three which should be running or finished now.

All jobs for p/mksh have finished and analysis is up-to-date (10 Feb 2011).

The 7 enlistments for p/mirbsd have all been simmering on the back burner with errors (Network is unreachable) but I have tested one and it seems to work OK locally, so I'll tweak them a couple at a time to light the fires under them.

Will report back here with any results.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot for keeping an eye on that, and the recently mentioned retry improvements!

.oO(offtopic, but… I submitted a patch for ohcount to know about The MirOS Licence… that would be interesting to see whether it’s adopted… maybe one of you guys could look at the list of patches people have submitted for ohcount in the past that were never looked at?)
