I have an updated version of mozilla firefox but it keeps crashing.
Any idea on what to do will be appreciated.
What version is your browser?
I suggest u either change your version of the browser or you upgrade to a newer version.
I have the similar experience too even after upgrading to the latest version but wondering if it was due to my system memory.
to simplytpapa, I think so. Try to boost your system memory so Mozilla won't crash.
This happened to me back then. Hope this link http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-crashes-troubleshoot-prevent-and-get-help would enlighten you.
Well I guess it happens naturally. So better update your mozilla and do some troubleshoot to avoid crashing.
Mozilla often crashes to me as well until I upgraded it to the newest version. Updating helps a lot.
If you're tired of Mozilla's crashing problems better switch to Google Chrome or maybe get back to Internet Explorer (at least the latest version).
Hello,
My colleague have same problem with that. Mozilla firefox is crash within 5 minutes.
Please give me some tips why this happen.
Thanks,

Most likely an extension but could be a lot of things, as already recommanded, if you are tired of crashes you should look at google chrome which is made differently, in short, if one chrome tab crashes, it does not crashes all the tabs. And get a tab to crash is another achievement
I have thinking about that too. It easily get crushed especially if your have many add ons installed on the browser. And it really sucks in terms of browsing.
In my case, I never experience crashing of Mozilla because I use the latest version. Better update yours.
Good for you then, Mathew.
Yup I understand hazel, I jumped myself to Chrome since I can find equivalent (and better) extensions on Chrome.
In my case I was a Firefox addict because it has NoScript, NoCookies, AdBlocker + element hider and Update Scanner.
I jumped on Chrome without missing one functionnality of these extensions (no need of NoScript or NoCookies because Chrome offers to enable script and cookies on the fly built in and with more advanced regular expression to match urls+ports), AdBlock also exists as beta with various channels, I replaced Update Scanner by Page Monitor which is really better than the one I have loved in Firefox, you can set a specific area on a webpage to monitor unlike the one on Firefox, also not need of a Firebug extension, Chrome developers include prowerful dev tools to debug javascript, extension profiling to find which one is the bastard and much more handy stuffs out of the box with one word, stability and a simple design that does not change to each versions =)
You may be surprised at all the extension Chrome offers today, look the site its huge, let me know if do you need assistance to find a specific extension, and I apologize for this dirty english I'm french=)
I will surely let you know if I need some. Thanks a lot! :)
Crashing is just a natural thing for a browser. Be used to it or try using a better browser.
Your computer system is full of viruses this is the main reason. otherwise mozilla is the best web browser from all. i am using it from last 9 years and not a single problem using it.
by vmachhar- totally agree with you because many times I've encountered this problem and it was only because of the computer.
I agree with others about extensions. I have fixed this issues in all browsers when updating. Just because an update fixes some bugs doesn't mean the extensions will work.
Totally agree on extensions. Looking forward to the next round of updates...
I have the same problem. Mozilla crashes almost every 5 minutes or so. I have tried running them in safe mode, disabling all addons but nothing as worked so far.
There could be many reason one of them is a setting problem that is the settings would have been done wrong or there would be some registry problem, If both of these are right then try not to open many tabs at the same time.
My Mozilla is also crashing, so I decided to remove some add ons and it turned out to be a good solution.
