Difficulty adding CVS repository from SourceForge

I'm trying to add the CVS repository at http://birthday.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/birthday

Ohloh defaults to :pserver:anonymous:@birthday.cvs.sourceforge.net:/birthday/ but gives an error. Sourceforge's page lists :pserver:[email protected]:/cvsroot/birthday but that doesn't work, either.

The repository does not have multiple modules, unlike problems with Sourceforge's CVS other posts have mentioned.

Nathaniel,

Try: :pserver:anonymous:@birthday.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/birthday with the module name as src

It's running an initial fetch now in an unrelated project and I have let it finish before I deleted it (total of 19 commits).

It should be virtually instant once you add it to the project. Let me know if you encounter added difficulties.

Thanks!

Thanks, works fine. I just entered the url and it knew to use the src module, somehow.

I've tried everything I could think of with the following project:
https://www.openhub.net/p/bookmarkext

SourceForge provides the following link to the CVS repo:
http://bookmarkext.cvs.sourceforge.net/bookmarkext

Given the number of projects hosted on SourceForge, it would be really nice if that URL could simply be posted into the enlistments page here and have everything work automagically. This would be especially helpful for people, like myself, who know nothing about CVS.

Note: I have no connection with the above project. I have no idea where to find what to enter into the modules field. I couldn't figure out where to find what module to list from what was shown on SourceForge. Sadly, I had to look up CVS module in order to understand what a module was. I simply wanted to know what the activity status of the project is, since SourceForge's information is nearly always wrong.

Kevin,

It's that godforsaken gobbledygook on the same page that starts :pserver and the module is one of the directories you see when you first view the CVS with the web viewer. No accounting for taste!

In any case, it's cooking now. May take a while - CVS is slow for us.

Thanks!

Kevin,

Initial fetch finished OK. Analysis is now at November 10, 2014 on code collected on November 10, 2014 and last commit is at February 25, 2005. There are only 3 commits.

Please let me know here if you need additional assistance.

Thanks!
