[More] the new features.  The WYSIWYG editor has been refined to better incoportate the glFusion styles to provide an editor environment that matches the final output. We have refined how the BBcode is rendered in the FileMgmt plugin file descriptions. We also revised how the CAPTCHA works for Root (admin) users when logging in using a 3rd party authentication such as Google or Microsoft. Of course we have also resolved all reported issues as well. If you are already running glFusion v2.0.0, all you need to do is upload the files from the glFusion v2.0.1 Incremental Release archive [https://www.glfusion.org/filemgmt/viewcat.php?cid=1] to your site and follow the normal glFusion Upgrade Instructions [https://www.glfusion.org/wiki/glfusion:upgrade]. The goals of this release is to implement several fundamental changes ... [More] to the technical architecture of the system, with a heavy focus on modernizing the code base and integrated tools. As a result of code modernization, glFusion v2+ will only work with supported versions of PHP, MySQL or MariaDB. Currently, glFusion v2.0 will support PHP v7.4 or newer, MySQL v5.6 or newer and MariaDB v10.2 or newer. glFusion v2.0 also only supports the UTF-8 character set. For those who are upgrading an older version of glFusion, to ensure your site meets the glFusion v2.0 requirements, please install the glFusion v2 Compatibility Checker [https://www.glfusion.org/filemgmt/index.php/759] plugin on your existing site. This plugin will check to ensure all the requirements are met.  You can browse thru the glFusion Documentation Wiki [https://www.glfusion.org/wiki/doku.php] prior to installing or upgrading to get a better understanding on how to get glFusion v2.0 up and running. With the code modernization efforts, we have also added several new features and enhancements to glFusion v2.0. Notability, the new cache system which will improve site performance and allow higher volumes of web traffic with less impact on system resources. We have integrated the Indexer Plugin into the core code to provide a much improved search engine. The included Forum plugin has a new user moderation system. The FileMgmt plugin has gone thru a major rewrite and now conforms to the glFusion UI standards. Admin actions are now logged which allows sites with multiple admins to track who made what change. Site logging now has a standard log file format and supports various levels of logging, such as INFO, WARNING, ERROR, etc. The story, comment, content syndication code has all been rewritten and updated. The configuration layout has been updated as well to group configuration options in a more logical manner. glFusion v2.0 will be the version of glFusion where all future development / enhancements will be performed. We will still maintain bug and security updates to the LTS (Long Term Support - v1.7.x) glFusion branch as needed to ensure those that cannot run the latest versions of PHP or MySQL still have a fully supported environment. After more than 3-1/2 years, Evlist version 1.5.0 has been released.
