Project Summary

GStreamer VA-API is a collection of GStreamer plugins and helper libraries that support hardware-accelerated video decoding, encoding and processing on Intel graphics through their VA-API.
* vaapidec/vaapienc: Decodes/encodes JPEG, MPEG-2, MPEG-4:2, H.264 AVC, H.264 MVC, VP8, VP9, VC-1, WMV3, and HEVC videos to VA surfaces.
* vaapipostproc: Filters VA surfaces for scaling, deinterlacing (bob, motion-adaptive/compensated), noise reduction or sharpening and uploads the raw YUV pixels into VA surfaces.
* vaapisink: Renders VA surfaces to an X11 or Wayland display or a "headless" DRM more suited to remote transcode scenarios, with faster throughput.
* vaapioverlay: An accelerated compositor that blends or composites different video streams.
