There are 2 voice packages TTS (text to speech) and recorded. You select when you download. TTS is usually a system in Android or an application, when it fails than TTS restarted is needed or a phone reboot. You can try different TTS engine for example if it is a case. Hi, I think this is not OsmAnd issue or not very clear, I really believe you ran TTS and TTS engine failed at one moment and of course OsmAnd restart will not TTS work again. OsmAnd could crash speaking instructions but could not stop especially continuing navigation. Probably I'm wrong. Victor

In reality this is not possible. Cloudmade made quite strange decision before they were free, but they decided to make all clients application payable even not asking confirmation. That's why I disabled Cloudmade account to avoid further confusion and mystification. They have a price for every route recalculation which is completely

Strange , this is not suppose to be a device related issue . I suspect this is because i had an earlier version of osmand there and something went wrong when i updated . Although i did try a clean uninstall and reinstall 2 times . I am experiencing different hardware acceleration performance on bluestacks

I believe this issue hardly could be solved in OsmAnd, simply because data is partially present in obf file . I have tried to time it today and think on my test device OsmAnd updates my position more like 2-3 times per second, not 1 just as I wrote above. For me this is quite sufficient! I know that many GPS apps accessing the chipset directly to extract NMEA logs can be configured to specific rates.
