Project Summary
D4 (Dynamic FORTH) is a simple scripting language designed to be used by other software packages to extend thier functionality at runtime. As the name suggests, D4 is based on the FORTH programming language (thus making it also stack-based). However D4 extends FORTH with many new features including; dynamic typing, scoped variables and regular expressions.
The D4 library is implemented in pure Java using the scripting API. This makes it easy to integrate with existing Java applications.
