Project Summary

Purpose of MarshalVanRockTo make it easy to create a standalone GUI applications from an existing library of Matlab data plotting and processing routines.

Target usersAre those that:

Are in charge of a scientific instrument Have a collection of custom made Matlab functions for processing and displaying data collected on your instrument Then the tool presented here can potentially cut down dramatically the time required to create a custom made standalone GUI application using your library functions.

What will a typical MarshalVanRock GUI application look like?In its most basic form the application will take on the form presented in the picture below:

Data files can be selected from the top panel (panel A). Information about this file may be displayed in panel B and a combo-box in panel C allows a user to select the way in which the data are processed and plotted using specified parameters in panel D and either of the buttons in panel E. The result after using the GUI to visualise a few datasets may look like this:
