Project Summary

This project is to provide to developers a library to help them to validate formats of a file properly. Validation is based on the official specifications (ISO, RFC, UIT-T, ...) of tested formats and not only on signatures.

The core is the "File Format Database" (FFD).
It's a collection of rules set.
One rule verify one specification of a norm. Each rules set is a group of rules checking a same norm.
The FFD is independant of implementation of validation.

The validation is very simplist and she's based on File Format Database.
If we want validate a file, we open the file and we pass all methods of validation of format to validate.
The sources code of methods is build on rules of the FFD.
