Project Summary
SocialCalc is the Spreadsheet activity being developed for OLPC XO. Daniel S. Bricklin, co-author of VisiCalc (the first spreadsheet activity) and Luke Closs, an employee at Socialtext Inc, along with Manusheel and Preeti, have put in efforts to develop the spreadsheet activity for the XO. The new version has been uploaded. We have used a library called XOCOM, created by Luke, which enables direct communication between Python and JS. In the 2nd download, we have attempted calling the toolbar using xocom. The code is not working yet, it is still being tried.
