How are Kudo-Ranks calculated?

Hello!
After I registered at Ohloh, I lost all my Kudos - No problem, because I develop a relatively small project.
But now I recognized that other developers who also commit code to my project have a larger Kudo-rank.
I commited over 100 changes, another member 3. But his rank is 6, my rank is 1.
So, how are the Kudo ranks calculated? After I checked some other projects it looks like there's no relation between commits and Kudos.
Could you please clearify this for me?

Hi ximion,

Kudos are given to project contributors when other Ohloh members use their projects. For listaller, only one person has said that they use the project: and that's you.

Ohloh does not allow you to give kudos to yourself. So when you say that you are a user of Listaller, Ohloh assigns some kudos to all of the developers on the project except you.

You will receive kudos if some other users come to Ohloh and say that they are Listaller users.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Thanks,
Robin

Good! So I understood it right. Thank you for your answer!
This makes things a lot more clear: Because I registered as the only one who uses the project, all developers of the team received Kudos - except me, because Kudos cannot be given from me to me. Makes sense.
Thanks again!
