linux-2.6 enlistment failing

It looks like the linux 2.6 kernel enlistment hasn't succeeded for a couple of weeks. Linus's repository itself seems OK though.

Jamie,

Looks like the enlistment has been having a little trouble completing the update. Have given it a shove and will monitor its progress.

Thanks!

Jamie,

Reporting back that the enlistment started at 219,000 commits and I have been whittling it down as much as I can. It's now down to 72,000. I'll continue to do so as time permits.

Thanks!

Jamie,

Was informed that the count had again stalled about 7 hours ago. Have rescheduled the job yet again. We should be down to 11,550 now - heading for the finish line...

Thanks for your patience!

Something we developers here at Ohloh really want to do is improve the speed/performance of Ohloh's back end crawling/analyzation code.

We want it to be able to handle large projects with a long commit history without needing personal attention.

Sorry for the problems.

Jamie,

Line count has finished. An update started immediately. Will monitor for one update cycle.

Thanks for your patience!

Hi guys,

Looks like this enlistment has been stuck for the last 3 months, though the repository looks OK to me.

Thanks,

Jamie

Is the linux kernel updating properly?

I have been having problem adding linux kernel as new position, ohloh can't find my name among the commiters. My commit has been included on the linux main branch for quite some time (november).

Håkan,

One enlistment is taking FOREVER to process but is still progressing. It is currently at 19286/63429 when it started at 276,000 commits which is some good progress but it ain't over til the diva sings...

I am monitoring it and hope to see it conclude soon. Will let you know here when I have news.

Thanks!

Håkan,

The job I was monitoring finished OK 3 days ago. A full update started immediately and also finished OK. Two additional updates also finished OK, the last finishing about 22 hours ago. Analysis page is now at Jan 08 2012 and commit data is currently unavailable for this project.

Please continue to let me know here if problems show up again.

Thanks!

Suggestion

Don't give the message Code analysis has not completed[https://www.ohloh.net/p/linux] during the analysis, if there exist a previously completed analysis.

Background

The analysis is counting lines [https://www.ohloh.net/p/linux/enlistments] at a rate of 23/311732 (from Step 3 of 3: Counting lines of source code (Running 172661/311732)), i.e. a completion time of 9 days for step 3.

Which means the projects statistics will be unavailable for 9 days because of step 3 because the statistics seem to be unavailable during analysis.
