With Postfix Instant IpTables, Artica checks in real time Postfix events and  add automatically  firewall rules according rejections limits errors. The advantage of using this feature is that you improve gateway performance and safe your bandwidth.Indeed, senders will be rejected before any connection attempt on Postfix port and no  transaction data will be sent. This feature has been improved in this version and is now available in "community edition mode". The community edition mode allows your server to automatically sends firewalls rules  that have been added by your server to an Artica central Database.After sending datas, your server automatically retrieves other rules that have been by saved by others Artica servers. Thins kind of community is totally silent and processes replications are executed without any human interactions. After upgrading to 1.4.111919, nothing to do ! this feature is automatically updated and enabled.   Checks and tweaks: On the left menu, choose "Messaging/Instant IpTables" On the "Status" tab you can display total of rules downloaded from Artica Central database and total of rules added by your server. You can disable the feature Add a white list server   Choose the "Manage your current rules" tab On this section you can search rules and disable some of them. When using this feature, Artica perform all these tasks in a single operation : Create user in LDAP database. Create Mailboxes in the cyrus-imap or Zarafa server. Import original mailbox content from specified external IMAP account This to accelerate the migration process. Text file must be formatted has follow : account;password;remote imap server if remote imap server using SSL, use "ssl:" suffix. jhon;123;ssl:imap.remotehost.com all lines must be separated by a carriage return. When artica parse the file user's uid will be the same of the external account specified; only the SMTP Domain name will be changed If you set: jhon;123;smtp.imap.net and choosing domain.org has the new SMTP domain stored in Artica The local mailbox will be "jhon" and the new email address will be [email protected] other example : SMTP domain : company.net jhon.filderal;123;smtp.imap.net The local mailbox will be "jhon.filderal" and the new eMail address on the Artica mailbox server will be [email protected] In the left menu, select your organization and choose the "Messaging" tab.   Choose the "browse" button to find your text file on the server. Note : With the Artica Explorer you can "upload" the file trough the web console.procedure is choose folder with the explorer, upload the file and select it. Click on the "Import Datas" Button. Click on the "refresh" icon after severals seconds in order to display the status of the new task you have created.   Select Users Tab in order to display migration task per account. [More] computers access to Internet or in the opposite way allow computers to access INTERNET and bypassing all filters (authentication form, web filters...). Computers are added using the IP address. If --enable-arp-acl compilation directive was used during squid compilation, Artica will add automatically MAC addresses in the selected list.   Note: When upgrading squid trough Artica Setup Center, this directive is automatically added in the compilation. On the left menu click on Web Proxy/Main Parameters Select "Filters" tab If your squid did not support filters by MAC Addresses, Artica will inform you with a yellow circle, Whitelists and blacklists will be switched automatically by IP addresses in MAC addresses will not be used for filter your computers.   If your squid support filters by MAC Address, Artica will inform you that MAC addresses will be filtered only if the server is in the same subnet of the workstations     Click on Comupters Banned list or Computers White list icon.   The form display on the left side computers that are black listed or White listed. in statistics of squid, we can see about 7 graphs that show system and squid performance, what the mean of each graph ? This feature collect stats from Squid daemon using cache_object command. It put infos in rrd database in order to generate ... [More] graphs. Graphs generated in this section did not reflect the system informations but the cache engine statistics. connection -- 1 day : Means number of connections to the cache (loopback connections too). Hit ratio --1 day : Means number of outgoing requests the proxy handle  to internet web servers. Cpu Usage -- 1 day: Means cpu use by the cache. Memory --1 day : Means memory use by the squid cache dameon (not plugins). File descriptors : number of files opened by the squid service. Service time : time to serve requests from Internet (requests by web servers and DNS answers time). Select stats --1day : Means : selectLoop: seconds to check all the open file descriptors once AvgSlectFDPeriod: rate of opened File descriptor average MedianSelectFDs: rate of median opened Files descriptor SelectFDS: file descriptor define by the select-fds value     [Less]

This error occurs on Ubuntu 10.10 : error while loading shared libraries: libmysqlclient.so.15 Ubuntu 10.10 has updated it's system to support libmysqlclient.so.16 library. Upgrading to artica 1.4.110911 and next versions fix the problem.

I receive these errors : Client host rejected: cannot find your hostname How can i disable this hostname verification ? On postfix multiple instances mode : Select your virtual server Click on Security settings Click on Senders Computers ... [More] restrictions rules On single instance : Select Messaging/Main Parameters Click on Security Settings tab Click on Senders Computers restricti... icon   Uncheck the "Reject Unknown Client Hostname" option. It should the the same if you receive any error according options listed on this box. [Less]

Artica use crossroads load balancer. Crossroads is supported by Artica because it did not require any specific agent running on each node. In this case you can balance other mail system than Artica (Exchange or Zimbra or any other...)   It can be used to balance postfix multiple instances on the same server too :   Installing crossroads. On the Setup Control Center, choose "Messaging software" tab. Click on Install or Upgrade button under Crossroads Balancing cell.   After several seconds click on "Cache" link on the top right menu. Select System/Load Blancing menu Choose "settings" tab Click on "Add a back end server" Give remote SMTP servers that will be balance. Enable the service by check the "Enable Load balancing service" Define the IP and port that the balancer will listen. Define time out settings in order to tune when the balancer will choose a server.     [Less]

Use this procedure if you need to change the mysql administrator and password : On the top menu, select "global settings" Choose the icon "Mysql settings"   Select the icon: New Mysql password and user...   Set the new credentials for the mysql account and password.
