Dropbox is a Web-based file hosting
... [More]
service operated by Dropbox, Inc. which uses cloud computing to enable users to store and share files and folders with others across the Internet using file synchronization
The Dropbox client enables users to drop any file into a designated folder that is then synced with Dropbox's web service and to any other of the user's computers and devices with the Dropbox client.
Users may also upload files manually through a web browser.
Through these usages, it can be an alternative to couriering physical removable media, and other traditional forms of file transfer, such as FTP and e-mail attachments.
While Dropbox functions as a storage service, its focus is on synchronization and sharing.
It supports revision history, so files deleted from the Dropbox folder may be recovered from any of the synced computers.
Dropbox's version control also helps users know the history of a file they may be currently working on, enabling more than one person to edit and re-post files without complications of losing its previous form.

This feature is available with Artica version 1.4.101601
If you are under this release you need to upgrade your Artica version. If this version is not released use the How to upgrade Artica to a nightly build ?
it remove hostnames and IP
... [More]
addresses of your internal systems from the messages headers before they go out to other users for security purpose.
In a standard way each mail service add it's own hostname and IP address that helps trace the SMTP routing processes.
for example you should see this kind of entries in each mail header :
Received: from moutng.kundenserver.de (moutng.kundenserver.de [212.227.17.10]) by mx.kundenserver.de (node=mxeu0) with ESMTP (Nemesis) id 0Lxyxk-1Or9Lq3MqS-015L7K for [email protected]; Sat, 11 Sep 2010 13:45:22 +0200Received: from gsx4.localhost (155.198.201-77.rev.gaoland.net [77.201.198.155]) by mrelayeu.kundenserver.de (node=mreu0) with ESMTP (Nemesis) id 0MPbvB-1OyXFT1SF7-004iCu; Sat, 11 Sep 2010 13:45:22 +0200
The deal is to hide internals routing informations.
On the left menu, click on Messaging / Main parameters.
Select "Security settings' tab
Click on Hide Client (MUA) icon
Turn to green the feature.

This feature is available with Artica version 1.4.101601
If you are under this release you need to upgrade your Artica version. If this version is not released use the How to upgrade Artica to a nightly build ?
This feature use "artica-filter" to
... [More]
forward Email To Another Email Account in the right way.
Why Artica-filter ?
Many mail server perform checks between the smtp sender domain and the server that send mails.
In the standard way redirected mail are rejected by most of ISP mail services because SMTP server that perform the redirection will not change dynamically the sender domain.
For example :
mail from: [email protected] to: [email protected] => redirect => mail from: [email protected] to: [email protected] => rejected because your server did not handle hotmail.com
Artica-filter is in charge of modify the sender email address in the SMTP transactions but keep the header in the original way.
In this case remote server will trust the server because the sender domain is your domain and users will see the original sender address because mail client will display only attributes stored in messages headers.
Enable Artica Filter
In the left menu, choose, Messaging/Main parameters.
Select Filters anti-spam... tab
Click on Modules Activation icon.
Turn to green "Artica-filter" modules
Enable the redirection service
In the left menu, choose, Messaging/Main parameters.
Select Routing & network... tab
Click on redirect service icon.
Turn to green the "Activate Redirect service" section.
You can use an external Mysql database to store redirect rules.
Note : Artica-filter is limited to 10 targeted accounts for each internal user
you should create a redirectmail table on your mysql server :
use this sql command:
CREATE TABLE `redirectmail` ( `id` int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment, `from` varchar(255) default NULL, `mail` varchar(255) default NULL, `del` int(1) NOT NULL default '0', PRIMARY KEY (`id`), KEY `from` (`from`), KEY `del` (`del`) )
has del is 1 or 0 that enable or disable the rule.
from field is the internal user.
mail field is the next email address that receive redirected mails.
Use artica database.
Artica has it's own mysql server and store already this table.
If you use artica Mysql database, you can create your redirect rules in this way :
Open the user account section and choose "Messaging" tab
click on Inbound parameters
Give the next email account that receive redirected mail in the "Redirect messages to" field in press Enter key.
You should see on the bottom-right side accounts that receive redirected mail.
Note : Artica-filter is limited to 10 targeted accounts for each internal user.
