The purpose of NIPY is to make it easier to do better brain imaging research. We believe that neuroscience ideas and analysis ideas develop together. Good ideas come from understanding; understanding comes from clarity, and clarity must come from well-designed teaching materials and well-designed
... [More] software. The software must be designed as a natural extension of the underlying ideas.
We aim to build software that is:
* clearly written
* clearly explained
* a good fit for the underlying ideas
* a natural home for collaboration [Less]
NIAK is a library of modules and pipelines for fMRI processing with Octave or Matlab(r) that can run in parallel either locally or in a supercomputing environment. Linux OS and MINC file format are supported. NIAK currently includes a T1 preprocessing pipeline, a pipeline for correction of
... [More] structured noise by component selection in ICA (CORSICA), as well as an fMRI preprocessing pipeline. NIAK features powerful pipeline management capabilities, including parallel computing, generation of detailed logs and automatic handling of pipeline failures or updates. [Less]
AFNI is for display and analysis of 3D and 3D+time brain images -- mostly for functional MRI (FMRI) purposes, but also has some diffusion tensor image (DTI) capabilities. The SUMA module within AFNI can display 2D surface models of the cortex embedded into 3D space, and also display functional mapping data on top of these surface models.
Iod (Implementation Of Dynamic-Causal -Modelling) provides functionality to analyze (intracranial) EEG/MEG and fMRI data in terms of connectivity of predetermined brain regions utilizing the DCM method.
FreeROI is a versatile image processing software developed for neuroimaging data. Its goal is to provide a user-friendly interface for neuroimaging researchers to visualize and analyze their data, especially in defining region of interest (ROI) for ROI analysis.
