There are two main projects in the development stage right now, GMTalk and GMEdit, a GMod based Google Talk client and ingame script editor respectivly. GMTalk is currently on hold due to the lack of socket support in GMod 10 and a lack of SSL support for the Lua Socket library. The only way to currently log in and send a message is to auth using the X-GOOGLE-TOKEN. GMEdit is also on hold as there isn't great support for advanced GUIs in GMod 10. It shouldn't be that hard to work around though.
