Suggestions for Ohloh 2.0 : Bug tracker link category

Today I submitted a few links to the SME Server projects but I would love to see some more categories to add the links into. Currently there are only three choices (Manuals, Forums, Tutorials). I ... [More] would love to have at least a category to enter the bug tracker for that project, perhaps a link category for a wiki would also be nice as they seem to be used more and more nowadays. Kind regards, Jonathan [Less]

Suggestions for Ohloh 2.0 : Use code_swarm to show activity video

I recently discovered a project called code_swarm (http://vis.cs.ucdavis.edu/~ogawa/codeswarm/ ) which generates great-looking videos of the activity of a project. I think it might be a real bonus to ... [More] the current tools used to show the activity of any project in Ohloh. The code is open-source but apparently there is a need for a data file of some kind (no idea what that is yet, but I'm sure it's not a big deal). [Less]

Suggestions for Ohloh 2.0 : Sorting order in the account page

Projects in the user account page (http://www.ohloh.net/accounts/knipknap) seem to have no particular sorting order. It would be nice if this were sorted by the time of the last commit (reversed).

Technical Issue Help : GWT Problem with JavaScript

Hi, I am using GWT as a view in my application, Spring and xfire webservice. My GWT code is throwing an exception. Actually the request and response are getting processed correctly. But, at view i ... [More] am getting the exception Exception in Handling Response:com.google.gwt.core.client.JavaScriptException: JavaScript TypeError exception: 'tTh' is null or not an object. i tried to debug my application through Javascript Debugger (Firefox). I could get some point. It is pointing to C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\central \3DAE7461AE7C106EF71E374BD11E11A5.cache File which is a html file. In the viewsource option, i could find the function where it is throwing the exception. But now my problem is this file is generated after compilation. The Content present is dynamically generated in it, including the function name. so i could not map this to the original Java/Js file in my Source Code. Any Ideas/ Suggestions is most appreciated. Thank you, Kishore. [Less]

Suggestions for Ohloh 2.0 : Hi guys, Is there a timeline for b...

Hi guys, Is there a timeline for bzr VCS support? Is there anything that the community can do to help implement this? You know, if you published the source or API needed to add support for a new VCS ... [More] under a reasonable licence, the community could help with this. I could even see the VCS projects wanting to implement this - getting Ohloh support might increase uptake of their tool. Cheers, /Mike [Less]

The Ohcount Project : installing ohcount on ubuntu hardy heron

Here is a list of packages I needed to install on hardy heron to run compile ohcount from version control: libpcre3-dev libpcrecpp0 ruby1.8 ruby1.8-dev libruby1.8-extras rubygems ruby-pkg-tools ... [More] svn-buildpackage Some other packages may have already been install from other stuff i was doing and some packages were pulled in by these, so it's not a complete list. The -dev endings are important, and you'll get obscure error messages if you don't install them... cheers stuart [Less]

Suggestions for Ohloh 2.0 : http://www.ohloh.net/projects/

It seems to me that there are a range of interesting possibilities for ranking projects that are being overlooked. The criteria for interesting here is (a) useful (b) showing off data that ohloh has ... [More] that isn't widely known. My suggestions for how to order projects include: number of committers in the last month; number of new committers in the last month combined kudos of committers average kudos of committers increase in kudos of committers in the last month oldest projects newest projects number of lifetime committers completeness of ohloh entry and newness (i.e. list only projects with complete ohloh entries, by newness, encouraging developers to fully complete their projects ohloh entry) While many of these look expensive to calculate (and are), they could easily be cached for hours or days, since these aren't (or shouldn't be) changing very fast.
